Do you have some evidence that it is making a sustainable improvement? Are you motivated and excited to spread your work to other organisations?
Then read on, as Health Innovation West of England wants to help you!
Following on from the success of our previous Evidence into Practice calls, Health Innovation West of England will once again be providing comprehensive support to spread evidenced-based innovations that improve the health of people in the West of England.

Who should apply?
We’d love to hear from anyone in the West of England working to improve the health and wellbeing of people in their community. You might not work in a traditional ‘healthcare’ role, but if you are improving the health of people in any way then this opportunity could be for you.
Lead applicants should be motivated to champion the spread of their innovation across the West of England into multiple organisations. We will prioritise innovations that are currently being delivered to a significant number of people and that indicate a likelihood of scalable impact. The application guidance provides further details about the selection criteria.
We welcome applications from:
- Teams delivering the innovative work on the ground, such as organisations within the following sectors: education, local authorities, voluntary, community, social enterprise and faith (VCSEF), the NHS and adult social care.
- People who have developed innovations that have some evidence of health benefits when delivered in the West of England.
Through this programme we are not seeking academic research projects or direct applications from manufacturers. , however if you wish to discuss your product with us please contact healthinnowest.innovation@nhs.net and visit our Innovation Exchange for further details, we’d love to learn more.

Programme briefing:
Join the Evidence into Practice team for a 45-minute briefing to understand the what, when and how of the programme. There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and to hear about past applications and successful projects.
Drop-in application clinics:
Do you have an application idea? Unsure if it will meet the selection criteria? Unsure how to answer an application question? Need some help with articulating the impact/benefits of your project to date? There’s no need to book, just drop in to a clinic at a time that suits you to have a chat with one of the team. Gathering and using data and evidence:
Join us for an introduction to data and evidence. Our facilitator Petra Downing, the Evaluation and Insight Programme Analyst at Health Innovation West of England, will guide us through the basics and provide prompts to help participants demonstrate the impact of their health and care innovations.
