Short abstract
The NHS Insights Prioritisation Programme was launched in 2021 to contribute to the recovery from COVID-19, build resilience and deliver benefits to patients. As part of this, Health Innovation West of England worked in partnership with with NIHR ARC-West to evaluate the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). Four key findings are presented:
- Uptake of the ARRS was rapid.
- Inflexibility prevented some PCNs using funding.
- ARRS staff were valued.
- Several challenges were identified.
