Gill started at Health Innovation West of England in November 2023 after 9 years working as a Registered Midwife; working on the MedSIP programme initially with a focus on polypharmacy and improving chronic pain management by reducing harm from opioids.
Prior to commencing the role, she worked as an Audit and Guideline Midwife within the Perinatal Quality, Safety and Assurance team at GWH, Swindon.
Before completing the midwifery qualification, Gill acquired a BSc (Hons) in Applied Physiology and Pharmacology, which included a year working in a research placement.
From her previous roles, Gill has developed a passion for delivering evidence-based care and promoting patient safety within the health service
